Add below line of code at the end of your theme’s functions.php file of your active child theme (or theme) and Save the file. Here we will create Hierarchical “Custom Taxonomy” Taxonomy in post of wordpress.

After created custom taxonomyif you want to display them on post pages than add following line of code in your single.php file of your theme.

You can add it in other files as well such as archive.php, index.php, and anywhere else you want to display the taxonomy.
By default custom taxonomies use the archive.php template to display posts. However, you can create a custom archive display for custom taxonomies by creating taxonomy-{taxonomy-slug}.php,where taxonomy-slug refers to slug of custom taxonomy.
